Kelly & Ross | Dumbo Elopement

Kelly and ross reached out to us late summer to plan a special elopement for thanksgiving week in nyc with their 11 yr old daughter. They were excited to craft a day that honored their beautiful family and to take this time to get totally pampered……NYC style. 

Kelly is a busy working mom, her and Ross founded the iris ayre, a film, theater and music  venue in an abandoned church in Glasgow Scotland. so fitting in time to plan this day and over an ocean in NYC, seemed almost impossible, she opted in for our concierge planning service and we promptly booked her a spray tan, a hot shave for ross and a mommy/daughter gel manicure

We hit a bump when pulling together her vision for her bouquet. Kelly wanted Iris flowers in honor of her mother Iris who passed away when kelly was a teenager. There was one problem … Irises are almost impossible to come by in NY after spring. We never let a small detail like that stop us. With the expertise and quick wit of our talented NYC florists, we found a solution, incorporating sourced, very high quality faux Irises to be placed among the gorgeous real florals. Our planner Ashley is real sentimental herself, so we always work especially hard with our teams to execute these types of very special details on the day.

Another top priority was making sure that Kelly and Jessica could enjoy the morning primping together. With Hair and Makeup teams glamming them both up in the room at the William Vale while we brought in local NYC yummies, croissants from my favorite bakery, fresh OJ for mimosas and classic black and white cookies

Their day unfolded like a carefully crafted storybook as they roamed around Dumbo and ended the nite with a reservation at the River cafe.

Despite juggling a large international time difference and a really busy schedule, Kelly and Ross’s elopement was a testament to the power of telling us your dreams and then trusting in us 100% to executing each step so just need to show up and look good! 

It’s a day they will rejoice in for years to come, a reminder that no matter the distance …NYC is worth the trip and the place dreams come true!
