Hailing from Austin Texas by way of New Orleans, Jonica left her corporate job to pursue her love of photography and now works as one of NYC’s most sought after elopement photographers. She’s inspired by the badass couples she works with, but also by the city itself — the art, architecture, and fashion of NYC keeps her firmly anchored and deeply in love with the city.

Jonica loves to simply stroll down a street with her couples to see what they discover. From hidden alleys in Chinatown to sweet vintage record shops in the East Village, her eyes are always peeled for locations with great light, textures, and compositions to make your images really pop. Of course you can never go wrong with a few quintessential NYC elopement photos taken outside the New York Public Library – so you can expect a fun mix of traditional with some off-the-cuff locations.
