They believe that capturing queer joy amplifies it—that when someone sees themselves reflected in a photograph that feels uniquely them, it becomes a reminder of their own beauty, power, and expansiveness.
Their favorite couples are often the ones who don't take themselves too seriously. The couples who are down to clown. The couples who want to be dramatic as fuck, serve for the photos, try the silly prompts, trust the process, and have fun with it. At the same time, Mia has a special place in their heart for shy couples and people who think they're bad at photos. There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone who feels uncomfortable on camera discover that they can actually enjoy the experience.

They believe most people already know exactly what to do—they just need someone to help them feel confident enough to do it. Through encouragement, playful prompts, and a healthy dose of "yes….and……” Mia creates an environment where people can relax, follow their intuition, and have fun. Whether they're working with someone who loves being photographed or someone who feels completely awkward in front of a camera, their goal is always the same: helping people feel like they're doing a great job and creating photographs that actually feel like them.

When it comes to weddings, Mia loves that smaller weddings strip away expectations and leave space for what actually matters. Instead of performing for hundreds of guests, couples get to be present with each other, present with their love, and present with the details that make their day meaningful. They love that couples can write their own rules, take little side quests, change plans, chase something exciting, grab ice cream, or simply spend more time enjoying the people they care about.
More than anything, Mia hopes that when couples look back at their photographs years from now, they don't just see how they looked. They remember how they felt. They remember how much fun they had, how free they felt, and how present they were with each other. Because for Mia, photography has never been about creating perfect images. It's about creating photographs that allow people to return to a moment and say, “Damn. That was such a fun day."
