I just re-read Allysons and Pedros wedding ceremony script and I am CRYING.

You would think after 10+ years of doing that that I would be jaded But I’m not, each couples story is so unique, inspiring and uplifting. Ok let me get myself together…

I’d like to share the amazing story of Allyson and Pedro thru snippets of their wedding ceremony that was performed by our beloved Bushwick Freddy

Its a story of adventure, hurdles and challenges that all brought them to the 1st of their many wedding celebrations on a winter day in DUMBO, Brooklyn with the Eloping is fun crew at their side.

Good afternoon! I’m Reverend Freddy and welcome everyone. I would like to start with a favorite quote of Allison’s by Paolo Coehlo:

“So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you.”

And today, the universe’s maddening love of hurdles, roadblocks, and awe-inspiring moments, have led Allison and Pedro to this moment 4 ½ years in the making.

Welcome to Allison and Pedro’s wedding day, or what we should probably refer to as the Inaugural stop on their Wedding Journey Tour that I’m sure will find them celebrating and toasting this union with friends and family across the world.

You have all been there for them–especially during the challenges of long distance and the 20months Pedro was stuck outside the country awaiting his visa, means more to them than you could imagine.

Allison and Pedro, almost 5 years ago, your love for one another began unexpectedly in Seoul, and since then has grown and traversed the globe, presenting you with challenges that included long distance, an epidemic, and using Allison’s dad’s 2013 Subaru as a closet as you moved from Airbnb to Airbnb.

Together, you managed those and countless other challenges, with your bond growing stronger, inspiring your family and friends, who as always are holding you up in love, and celebrating that you each have found your person.

The beauty of life is that we have no idea what lies exactly ahead, but Allison and Pedro just know that we wish you a future filled with more travel, more hiking, and more morning coffees. And perhaps in the future, there might be a dog for Allison or a cat for Pedro…or both; perhaps nieces, nephews, and godchildren to spoil before sending them back to their parents and a home in nature with a garden to grow your own vegetables…and an outdoor brick oven for Pedro to indulge in his love of pizza.
